The 18th annual ESMI European Molecular Imaging Meeting took place from 13-17 March 2023 in Salzburg, Austria, where the WINTHER project had a strong presence. In particular, the PS 02 Optoacoustic and Ultrasound Technologies session, was filled with RSOM-related research and was opened by former WINTHER lead scientist, Dr. Juan Aguirre Bueno. During the session, current WINTHER lead scientist, Dr. Hailong He, gave his talk titled “Non-invasive assessment of human melanoma microvasculature in vivo by single-breath-hold optoacoustic mesoscopy”, which featured his most recent work using the F-RSOM to study melanoma microvasculature.
